Caroline Boykin
Caroline Reehl Boykin is a fine artist based in Raleigh, North Carolina, whose work draws inspiration from the essence of everyday life. Blending elements of nature, architecture, and form across a variety of mediums, she creates layered compositions and distinctive color relationships that invite viewers into a dialogue of movement and meaning. Through her thoughtful use of porcelain, acrylic paint, and gold and silver leaf, Caroline produces multi-dimensional pieces that go beyond the subject itself, encouraging personal interpretation.
Creativity has always been a defining part of Caroline’s life. Growing up along the Alabama coast shaped her deep appreciation for art and Southern culture, influences that continue to appear in her work through subtle references to Southern elegance and hospitality. During a summer spent studying figure drawing in Florence, Italy, Caroline realized that being an artist was part of who she was. She later earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Mississippi in 2005, concentrating in ceramics while developing a lasting passion for working across multiple artistic mediums. For more than 15 years, Caroline has created professionally, drawing inspiration both from her daily surroundings in Raleigh and the rural Alabama landscapes of her upbringing.
Caroline’s artwork has been featured in leading publications such as Elle Decor, Southern Living, Flower, and Luxe Interiors, among many others. Her pieces are included in notable private collections and can be found in thousands of homes throughout the United States.
